245 Heritage Extended bass-midrange driver 50W / 101.5dB / 8 Ohms

This brand new loudspeaker takes up the original membrane of the T. 245 BASSES of the sixties. We have indeed developed this loudspeaker by starting from the original models in order to find the sound qualities that have satisfied music lovers over the past decades. The new Alnico motor, developed using FEA software, is composed of a central core of one kilogram of Alnico5. This arrangement makes it possible to capture 100% of the energy of the magnet. The magnetic field reaches 1.4T in the 8mm air gap.

We have designed a new, very rigid injected aluminum basket, ventilated under the spider. The field of the motor has been optimized under FEA software, its high manufacturing quality is ensured by CNC machining in our workshop. For this 245 we have designed a new spool, lightweight, in copper-plated aluminum wire. A thorough study of the treatment of the membrane ensures a linear response, and very extended.

The great sensitivity of this transducer makes it an ideal candidate for a very high efficiency horn system, a low-midrange in a multi-way system, or in a flat baffle accompanied by a tweeter above 8kHz. A balanced and extended bass response is obtained even on a flat baffle. When listening, this HP is particularly musical due to its excellent tonal balance and low distortion.
